Gasser Years?

I know that the 5 ton was first designed around the 602 gasser by mostly IHC, but how late was this engine used in new trucks? Our H2O truck is a 1961 (per data plates) and was just wondering when the switch was made, and was it made all at once, to the Macks or over time until the multis came into common use.

If the information I received is correct, then the 6602 was in production in the 5T up to late 1967. There was concurrent production of the 6602 and the ENDT-673 until the switch to MF.
