I am replacing glow plugs and 4 are stuck I can't pull them out with force and the tool that everyone says is the best isn't available and the date keeps changing as to when it will be available. Is there anyone in the Northern Virginia Area that can help get them out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make your own tool.

A pair of vice grips attached to the end and a long screwdriver or prybar to pry the plug out. You may have to twist the vise grips to help. Just take you time and don't get in a hurrry.

If a tip breaks off you will have to remove the injector and fish for the tip. I pair of long nose players and a shopvac works wonders.

I've had good luck with using a small pair of visegrips clamped to the GP. With the engine warmed up and running, and the gp already unscrewed, I simply push it in to try to seal it to the head, and let the pressure pop it out(repeatedly) against the swollen tip, in the hole. Usually it will come out in about 10 seconds. I have someone in the seat running it up around 1500 rpm. Use caution, your kinda holding a bullet in your vicegrips! Done it like this since these trucks were new. Sometimes you may need to chase the threads after this.

Wear gloves, saftey glasses, and earplugs!
