Hello! I am from Lincolnton NC. I just purchased my first M35A2 Deuce and Half. I have always loved these trucks, even when I was in the Corps! Having an issue with mine though. When I start it up, it starts up wide open! The guy I bought it from said that his buddy tried to "turn it up", and that it wouldn't run after that. Not sure if they messed with the high speed adjustment or not. I was able to get it to run but like I said it starts wide open. Any thoughts? I am not terribly familiar with the workings of the injection pump. In the military if something didn't work right we just replaced the whole part. I cant wait to get it running right, love these trucks!

99% sure your idle issue is a sticking fuel control rod. A very common issue. Start a new thread in the Deuce forum and we will help you out.

Also if you look up in the top right corner, you will see a search bar. That searches this site for information. Try "deuce runs wide open" it will bring up a couple threads like the one's below. There is a ton of information and great people here to help you. Oh and just a warning, this is a disease and you will start wanting to own more military vehicles!!! rofl
