High A3 prices?

I recently noticed this closed govplanet auction for an A3 that ended at $10,100 in Oct 2021. Its not the worst Ive seen, but it is junky. Missing soft cover, no headlights, junk interior, no winch, busted gauges, leaking steer axle, rust, rusty hood, dangerously low miles. Maybe get it right and end up around $15k once you move it, but that is full retail for these lately, with the roll of the dice that is an auction buy. Is this pricing normal in recent times? I bought my A3 around 8 years ago for $10k, fully loaded, clean-driving hard top with winch, seats, and cargo cover from the heavy equipment shop that was detailing several at the time, and this was like their personal parade truck for a while, with the big Mil antenna for flag mounting. https://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/...go-Truck-Georgia/5553838/NSN/2320-01-383-2047

I've seen people asking between $8k and $12k for M35A3s on Facebook, complete with the cargo bed or as a chassis. These trucks were in driveable condition.

I feel like the M35A3 is the closest thing to buying an MTV without buying an MTV, creature comforts notwithstanding.

(My wife still wants an MTV anyway :p)
