I'm attempting to write a report for my Engine Repair class on the LDS-427 Multi-fuel but im hitting one big snag.....I have all the technical data, and a heap of leftovers.....BUT NO HISTORY :x , and thats a large part of the report, 1 1/2 to 2 pages on the engines history and development.

anyone able to help me out or point me in the right direction?

i really dont care how little info you can give me, cause I can stretch it out if need be and the technical specs more than make up for the history loss.

Thanks

James

Google "continental hypercycle" and a Popular Mechanics article from June 1963 will come up, it has what you are looking for.

The beginning of the LDS 427 and all further improvements for the entire MF-engine family is described here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/12029-multifuel-engine-life.html

You should try to contact David Doyle for the complete history of the LDS 427; if he doesn't know, who else....????:)
