HMMV rims on a M1009?

I'm getting 3/4T axles w/ 8 lug and I'm wondering if HMMV 16.5s will fit. I read on another board somebody mentioned horrendous backspacing and they had to use 4" spacers for a pick-up.

I think they mentioned 7" backspacing.

You heard correct Sir. You will need a substantual spacer to get the tires back where they should be. If the spacers are well built, you should see no problems in doing that and the HMMWV wheels are pretty cool.

the spacers might play hell getting to the manual lockouts though, I am researching some local shops to see if they will recenter them for a group of us.

I only run 2" spacers on the M1008. Of course 2" per side is 4" total.

Scrool down the page and you'll find an article on dean reads custom bead locks.
basically a recentered hummer wheel.only available as 16.5 inch though...but they'll certainly do the job.

M1075 could you take some pics of your setup. What size tire are you running?

I think they cost about 600 for a set of four, shipping to me would add about 400 to that though.
