This year and last, my work schedule has kept me from participating in the Houston, Texas Veterans Day Parade. However, it did not keep me from being a spectator. I am very fortunate to have a birds eye view of the parade from the 8th floor of an office building.

There was an amazing line-up of military vehicles in attendance from active duty to well-maintained rolling history! The vehicles were spread-out amongst JROTC groups, high school marching bands, corporate floats, veteran's service organizations, etc. All-in-all, the parade lasted about an hour.

Here are some pictures (albeit poor quality cell phone pictures from 8 stories up in the air):

Here are a few more pictures. I tried to get one of each MV in attendance.

If you were in the parade, please let me know how it was from your vantage point. I would enjoy hearing your stories.

FYI, these vehicles are mostly from the National United States Armed Forces Museum on Wallisville Rd. They do a great job supporting parades and the Freedom festival every year in Houston.
