"How to get a HET in life..." - M1070 Acquisition thread

Hi all. I hope your HETs are going strong.

I have a technical idea and I hope to hear ideas how to resolve it.

If I am not mistaken M1070 is equipped with the two gear (plus neutral) Oshkosh 55000 series transfer case. The shift between the low range, neutral and the high range is actuated mechanically, i.e. by using a lever in the cabin.

Imagine someone wanted to convert it to be be air-actuated. One important condition here is that the switch between low, neutral and high range could only be executed whilst stationary, with the gearbox in the neutral position. I do not know how it is normally set-up in your HET but I would gladly learn about it.

How would you approach it and what components/modifications would be need it to complete it?
