How to get a service record for your Deuce

I was wandering how you can get the service info for your duece, is there a web site that you can enter your serail number, or do you have to write a letter to someone?

I bought a truck from GL one time that had the records laying in the seat when I picked it up.

Another GL truck I bought came from a NG base just down the road from me. I went to them to see about getting the records. They said "we threw all that stuff away when we turned it in to DRMO". I'm thinking the standard practice is to either put it with the truck when you turn it in to DRMO or just throw it away.
