Engineer dump truck built/purchased by Sam mid/late 70s. Straight civilian hvy dump with addition of 24V lights (and I think a split 12/24V electric system)

Anyone have experience with this trucks in the Army? Feedback? I think all major components are straight civilian stuff. Cummins NTC-290 Allison HT750CFD
Big heavy duty. Sam is getting rid of them and several coming thru the system old but with low/moderate miles though some have been rode hard (as quarry trucks will be). I'm looking at for conversion to tanker truck for Fire Dept.
