So, because I've really not seen any true answers here, and because if I really want to, I can always get another one, is the idea to keep your surplus trailer as stock as possible or to modify it to fit your needs to make it easier for your use?
In my case, I'd really like to change the brakes out to electric. I know those lights have to go, gonna install LEDs, and when I do that, I might as well change the entire electical out while I'm working on it. Paint? Well, the outside of the box might stay those colors, but the inside needs lined and the frame is getting under coated to prevent rust. I do want this to last a long time.
If I get tired of the forest camo, I'll go in and get it painted to match my truck.
I kinda like the pintle hitch, so that will probably stay.
I did buy it to use, not for a display.
So, while I'm waiting for my SF-97 to show up... I'm going to get on the brakes and lights...
