Loose rad fan

Guys thank you so much for all the input. This clears it all up for me. As they say a picture is worth 1000 words. :naner: Seems like a quick fix to an expensive possibility down the road.

can this job be done with radiator still in or do you have to drop it for clearance to get fan out? suspect shroud has to be removed.

rubber if still have arse good comes out attached to fan correct?

Shroud halves need to be off as well as the intercooler tubes. No need to remove radiator or coolant hoses. It's a much easier job with 2 people also. It's easiest to remove the clutch air line and fitting then slip the fan over with the rubber on the hub.

When you get that done!
You need to check bolts on compressor brackets and insure the bolts are tight and pull front cover to check compressor nut for tightness.

You do not need to remove cover completely just remove bolts and pull it towards radiator just enough to get wrench in to check tightest of nut.

Thank you. I’ve checked all my accessories for loose mounting hardware, and brackets. Found loose bolts on the fan, engine mount, starter, alternator, water pump tensioning pulley, and multiple clamps. I have not checked the compressor nut yet, it’s on the list.

Getting my drive shafts inspected, and balanced soon.
