Lug nuts for super singles?

What do you deuce guys use for lug nuts on the rear when upgrading to super single tires/wheels? We have flipped the hubs on our 5 ton and re-installed the 1400x20 tires with 10x20 bridge truck wheels on the rear axles. Using the "stud nuts" that held the inner duals on, we just bolted-up the single wheels but it doesn't look like enough "nut" to hold up to the weights involved. You can't really add the regular Budd lug nut because of the chamfer on the "stud nut". What are the options?
Thanks

Just use regular 3/4" Left and right hand thread lug nuts, the same you'll find on the front axle. Those studs are really only designed to be used in a dual nut configuration.

Should be $2 to $3 per nut.

Another idea:
You might be able to grind the inner chamfer off the stud nuts (so that the wheel will fit flat against the hub), install the stud nuts on the 3/4" wheel studs, install the wheel and then use the outer lug nuts.

It's one idea, but would work but that would be a little "kludgey".

Personally, I'd just buy 24 new nuts and be done with it.

Speaking for another member, he used some extra front lugnuts. On each rear wheel, he used 3 of the budd caps and uses them as steps to climb up.
