Prices have gone way up on those shocks. I think I paid less than $40 back in 2011. But they work great, the brakes work so smooth that you forget the trailer is attached.
Yes thats the one 1844-2. I got lucky and found one in the tool chest. Yes that shock should not be that much. The same shock with slightly different ends is 50. The manufacture knows they have ya
