hey guys im going to buy my first m1009 friday and i need a parts list of parts that will need to be replaced regularly

Starter bolts.
With the trucks being 25+ years old, just about anything will need to be replaced. You have no idea what/how it has been maintained
The regular consumables are like any other vehicle, except for the Diesel parts.
To have a known reference point, this is what I would replace/repair
- Perform a Lube Order
- All fuses ( clean the fuse box also)
- Fuel Filter
- Brakes ???
- Battery service/check
- Clean all the ground contacts/connections
- Save your money to have your injector pump rebuilt (being 25 yo, it will fail)
- Replace your blinker fluid
Make sure you download all the tech manuals. Read the -10 Operators Manual first. The others you will read when you are working of specific issues.
Just be prepaired to perform regular maintatence on the truck.
Oh yeah.....

what about the starter bolts do they brake and where do i find the manual

They tend to break, got mine from rock auto, correct a/c delco parts.

It has alot of good information about tips/tricks/parts. It also has a lot of junk.
If the starter has been removed and the previous owner did not reinstall the mounting/support bracket, the starter bolts can break along with the starter nose cone or possibly the engine block. Very important item.
