M105 U-Bolt Question

Working on putting in a 8k axle under my M105. I need to add more threads to the U-bolts about an inch more. I need to get a die for it, I have it at 3/4 diameter but how many TPI? I put my TPI gauge on it but I can make the 14 or 16 work. So which is the correct one?

3/4" UNF (= 16 TPI) is correct.
