M105A2 brake questions

I'm tearing down the brakes on my M105A2 to rebuild the hydraulics and just give everything a good looking over. I noticed that some trailers people have shown on the site have an air tank and some sort of a relay valve attached to it. My trailer does not have this. Is the because mine is older or is this some type of upgrade?

Yours is older.

The relay valve on newer ones will lock up the brakes if your airline is cut loose, hense the small tank.

Might not be a bad idea to find someone who is parting out a M105A2 and get the extra airline parts and tank.
