M151a2; which brake fluid?

It's suppose to be DOT 5 from the military. If your not sure what is already in it, you can pull a sample out and stick it in some fresh DOT 3 and then some into some fresh DOT 5. They don't mix so you should be able to notice which one it is. If it shows that you have DOT 3 already in the jeep, personally I'd replace all the fluid with 5 since there could be some already mixed in Hope that makes sense.

Great suggestions. For future owners you might want to apply the decal that goes by the master cylinder:" Add silicone brake fluid only" These are yellow and hard to miss!
