M38A1 Front Spring Bracket Replacement

I took my shocks off to repaint them because they were white and it bothered me greatly. In the process I broke the welds that hold the front shock stud to the bracket. I see you can by the whole bracket assembly for about $30 but I don't know how to replace it since it appears to be riveted to the frame. The frame is also fully boxed at the point the bracket connects so I am not sure how the rivets were done in the first place. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep don't remove the old brkt, just find someone who can weld and show up with your jeep with the fender removed and a 6-pack.
