M38A1 Fuel Lines

I am in the process of trying to make my new acquired M38A1 engine as correct as possible. When I bought it a couple of months ago I immediately discovered my carburetor was not correct. I just acquired a nice YS 950S that needs to be rebuilt. In the process of trying to tune the old carb, I discovered the fuel pump was leaking gas into the oil. Just bought a replacement Carter fuel pump (CJ 5 type) that the folks on this forum said would be a replacement since I do not need a vacuum pump. In the process of doing all this, I quickly found out my fuel lines have been "Bubba'd" somewhat. What I need to know is: 1) What is the OD of the fuel line from the tank to the pump? and 2) What is the OD of the fuel line from the pump to the carb? Are they the same? My current set-up has improperly routed lines of different sizes made of steel, copper and rubber tube.

I am rapidly learning what my neighbor (owner of 4 Jeeps) told me Jeep stands for "Just Empty Every Pocket"!

Thanks in advance

All the fuel lines should be 1/4" steel tubing. I recently restored a M38A1, I used standard brake line tubing. You will want to buy a tubing bender and a double flaring tool if you don't already have one. Or you could cheese out and just buy them pre made from one of the many jeep supply stores.
