Ok been playing with this thing for awhile and still trying to figure out what I actually have. Someone told me the windshield hinges indicated it's a mid 60's IHC gasser that was converted to a Mack driveline. Judging by the horrible conversion, that looks to be accurate. All the holes for the mounts stack etc were done with the hot drill(torch).
The front motor mount appears to have no rubber isolation which concerns me. Does anyone have pics of a Maxk powered M39 series so I could see if I'm missing something ?
Also I realize probably not a lot of these but for anyone interested,
mine had a 25 amp generator that smoked. The 60 amp Duece alt fit the mounting bracket on the Mack nice(I had to weld mine as one ear was cracked).
the alt is about half the weight of the generator so hopefully the ear won't crack again.
The pulley needs to be swapped as the Deuce alt pulley sits closer to the alt and does not line up with the crank pulley. The only thing I am not sure of(didn't wire it or road test it yet) is the Mack generator pulley is about 1" larger which means it will turn the alt slower so not sure if that is gonna be an issue yet.
