Bump for pic update from TM and SirB. I'd like to see or hear about your floor plan. I'm thinking about trying to make one side NOT expand. Remove the roof and floor pieces and seal it up good. Would make it a lot easier to put all of the mechanical systems on that side AND let some light in. The other expando side would be just for making additional floor space if you were going to be somewhere for a while.

Instructions for expanding the van are here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showth...-s-the-story&p=1380416&viewfull=1#post1380416

You won't be able to let more light in if you leave one side closed as the ceiling panel folds down and would block the windows on that side.

If you had ATVs or something similar, it would be great for using it as an expandable maintenance shop. The tool cabinets and parts storage could be rolled out to the sides when expanded and work performed in the center of the van. You could also have some stuff fixed to the floor towards the front of the van and do work around the sides. You will want to keep the back doors clear, but could use the side doors if it's expanded.
