Hey guys I am looking for anybody who has redone the interior of a HEMTT and is willing to give me any words of wisdom before I start on mine. The truck is currently desert Tan and the entire truck will end up being 3 color NATO Woodland but not till a couple other trucks get some attention. When I am doing the interior of this 977 it will be repainted OD and all the black sound deadening insulation will be replaced. Any words of wisdom would certainly be appreciated, especially if it could make this job any easier!

Thanks guys
Karl

I haven't had to do anything to mine. Seen a few that had insulation coming off or missing. Should be straight forward work and not real hard to clean, paint and insulate.

The best help I can offer would be to take some pictures of my M984A4 interior. It wouldn't be much help though as the gauges are different, shifter is pushbutton, no doghouse in the middle, etc. I guess it could be used to show that even tan trucks come with green interiors from Oshkosh. I should be able to report back Thursday when I load it out for an upcoming JRTC rotation for summer camp this year. Just so there's no confusion, I don't own it. I'm in the GA National Guard and I'm it's proud operator.

Thanks much Sand cobra I am pretty sure that if I were driving the same rig that you are I would be mighty proud of it also, and like you, even if I did not own it! I think I will do like Gunzy said my main issues are with all the insulation in the truck is rotted and falling down, I have new air ride hiback seats for it then its removing all the steel panels and instrument cluster and repainting all the panes OD, put it all back together until its time to repaint the entire exterior, THAT is NOT a job I am really looking forward to getting into!
Thanks again Sandcobra
