media blasting

Has anyone had their truck or frames media blasted? What did you pay or did you do it yourself? I don't think my 5hp 33 gal craftsman could keep up media blasting, afterall, it is 12 yrs old :mrgreen:

I got a quote of $400 to media blast my frame, axles, springs ect. and $200 to epoxy paint. Does that sound about right? Said it would take him 3 days in the shop. I was considering that way because as soon as it is blasted, it can be cleaned and painted, to prevent flash rust. opinions welcome

Ask for pics of previous work and see if you can talk to previous customers.

That sounds like a good deal if it's on the level and the guy knows what he is doing.
