has anyone successfully intergraded a remote start to their non digital mep series generator? I'm trying to get the generator to start with utility power loss and transfer power at the generac 200 amp ats. so far I'm using a dcp - 10 digital relay / remote start controller and lots of relays to accomplish this. I'm so close. in auto mode the dcp - 10 will start the mep 804a when my seperate relays sense utility power loss and send a signal to the dcp. the problem im having is the dcp - 10 does not recognize the mep 804a has started and shuts it down by canceling the fuel output relay after about 6 seconds. the dcp - 10 is supposed to sense frequency through an alternator terminal wired to terminal 16 on the dcp, but so far it doesn't work. any suggestions would be amazing. this group rocks. I fried an output mosfet on the mep 804a speed controller in the process, and never would have found the solution with out this group, so Thanks to all who post.

I custom built mine.

The manual says that pin 16 is charge excitation output (makes the battery charging alternator run).

what error message do you get?
Oh, silly me. I mistook that for an input. no error message it just starts and then shuts down. and then tries 2 more times unless i hit the stop button. Maybe i will hook up the voltage inputs on the dcp to the gauge or something so it reads when the mep breaker is still open
