Mep sg-1500

Hello, i have a generator i need help with if you guys don't mind,
1.5 Kw, AC, 120 Volts, model No. SG-1500, has the continental built 2A016-1 engine coupled to a Sommer Electric co. gen-head.
Is this a MEP 015A ? i changed the fuel pump to the lator one with the prime handle and made a new gasket kit for the carb and changed the tiny rubber gasket in the bottem of the bowl and still very hard to start, sometimes it will just run out of gas ? keeps losing prime for some reason,

trowel take the pump apart and check the valves inside the pump i have seen them stick. also check the outlet on the tank make shure its not pluged

was hoping you would see this post, have NOS pump i could use,
