... yes 157lbs ... re torqued 3 times and all still at 157 .... guess I should have got the new style head gasket

the Saga is solved , fitted a new type head gasket and she now runs like a watch with a pit more poke and not as much smoke , during the rebuild we tested the thermostat and found it sticking closed now and again so i guess that was the catalyst for the blown head gasket , thanks all for the advice through the 2 stripdown and rebuilds
