I was intending to drive this truck home but...
The engine started ran a few minutes and died. I think it ran out of fuel. It wouldn't restart. Do I crack a line at each injector to bleed out air? How much engine cranking is required? Is the process the same with the deuce multi-fuel also? Thanks

RE: muiti-fuel won

did ya put more fuel in? did ya check the bleeder over the secondary and final....is your 5 ton a M/F? is your engine shut down actually pushed in all the way... check it at the IP... How far is driving it home? If more than 5 miles you should do a complete check of all components including tire pressure in 11 tires to start, water, oil , gear oil in at least 5 places...brake fluid, e brake etc etc etc... wipers, seatbelts, etc etc....lights, signals, tools etc etc...registration, insurance, qualified driver, chase car, etc etc...

RE: muiti-fuel won

Check motor oil level and smell. If fuel smell, don't drive. Add fuel in tank, open bleeders at secondary filter, turn on the power switch. If fuel pump is running it will pick up fuel and come out the bleeder. Open bleeder on primary filter to get water out of system. Check fluid levels in trans, transfer, all 3 pumpkins. Check brakes, fluid. Drive home or onto trailer. Keep it legal.

I bet the fuel filters are stopped up. And or the lift pump isn't workin and it's starving for fuel. Usally but not allways, it won't start if there is air in the system. Try turning on the lift pump ( power switch) and open the bleeder on top of the two fuel filters on the drivers side of the engine. If fuel comes out then the pump is running.
