I have had an interest for years, but yesterday I bought my first military vehicle, an M35a2. My intent is to bob the existing body and continue to run duals on the single axle. I'm not sure how much to remove so that the body doesn't have too large an overhang. Also I intend to hang the rear axle in the same location, that is not modifing the drive shaft, using the hangers, springs, etc from the front end of a salvage deuce. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I am retired from the guard/reserve, SSG MP/CID, with 22 years. Spent 33 years as a police office in two departments, the last 12 as chief.
My experience with old vehicles has been with a 38, 56, 64, 65 Buicks and a 64 Corvette. Currently I still have the Corvette and a 64 Deuce and a quarter.
