New to the board so I figured I would check in and say hi. I have a 1972 M36 that is complete with winch 13,500 miles in good shape and was wondering if someone could tell me what it is worth. Any help is appreciated.

oakietrailchaser,
Welcome. You will want to add your location to your description, as it's one of the few requirements of the board. If you need help in doing so, speak up, and someone here smarter than me will be happy to help.

Again, welcome to Steel Soldiers ... jim

So far it has been a really cool truck to have. I turns a ton of heads. The truck is complete except for a top. I have the frame for it but the original top was gone when I got the truck. The only other things that it needs is knuckle boots and a paint job. It use to bee a fire truck so it red and white.

Assuming your truck is original and complete and also rust free, probably between $6500 and $7500. Lots of factors in there that could drop the worth thousands. On the other hand, an exceptional M36A2 w/w could fetch close to $10,000 from the right buyer. Posting pics could help determine what it might sell for. The current market and finding the right person always dictates price. To that end, where's the pics?

okietrailchaser:

Welcome. I'm relatively new here too, and I'd like to tell you there are many, many good and informative/knowledgable people here. As for price/worth, many will tell you the prices are starting to raise. If ya watch GL, you'll see that the days of a $2K deuce are becoming numbered. The one's going that low are usually residue or close. I guy I know said he used to pick em up from GL for between $200.00 to $400.00 for good runners. When I told him what I got mine for he choked.
