Recently acquired a 1998 mep-802a with 56 hours on it for $700. Looking to see what others would recommend keeping on hand for these units as spare parts.

First off I checked everything over drained and flushed the cooling system, changed oil/filter as well as fuel filter. Replaced the fuel bungs in tank, and replaced thermostat and even new belt.

So far my spare parts on hand are:
Spare fuses
Spare relays
Spare filters
NOS fuel filter housing
New waster pump
Spare belt
Spare coolant sensors both on water pump.

Would like to add Spare radiator hoses as well

Any other recommendations from others on stuff I may have missed to keep on hand as a spare item? Still trying to find another gen set just because why not.

Exactly why I try to keep 1 or 2 spares of all my parts on hand. Its the mechanic in me. All my equipment i stock usually 2 of common used items for when I use one replace it just incase I cant get somewhere when I need it there's always a rotating spare to be had.

Don't we have a sticky up top or a thread somewhere...... https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-802a-mep-803a-filters-and-parts.186068/
With suggested spares and their PN's.
For sure I have seen that and read over it some other hard parts like connectors fuses, fittings, sensors and all aren't listed there so thats why I posted my own. I can list part numbers and all of the ones I have found if anyone is needing some that weren't posted in there. I will be making the water pump mounting plate gaskets on a cnc cutting table for the one behind the water pump with the o-ring motor to plate since you cant buy them anywhere individually only in a kit

If you have additional parts info not listed in that sticky, please go ahead and add it.
It would be good to try getting as much part info as possible into a single location!

Ya ill add the coolant sensors i have that work good in there lot of parts are hard to sourse sometimes. When I need a part to repair one ive worked on i instantly buy 2 or 3 of said part as you see it once it will happen again. Between me and 3 other buddies we have 4 of these generators and we all have spare parts drawers dedicated to these gen sets. I have 2 shelves dedicated to my LMTV haha
