I have the same problem. I ran a mechanicle guage and oil pressure is good. The wires on the back of the guage seem to be the problem. If I wiggle them it will work. I put on a new sender and I still have the same problem. Once I get time to fix it I will, but for now I just watch the mechanicle unit.

Go to yor local parts store and buy a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Less than $30. Remove the sending unit and install the mechanical unit for testing. The electrical ones are known to be have problems. Also make sure the sending unit and gauge work together. There are 60lb and 120lb units. The number is stamped on the side of the sending unit. They have been known to be changed out and not matched up.

The compressor belt is adjusted by turning the front half of the pully. You loosen the two 9/16" bolts and use a compressor wrench to turn the pully

Also check that the connection on the back of the gauge is tight. You can gentally squeeze the connector with a pair of pliers.
