On my way to work this morning and blew a tire...well not really blew so much as got a punch through the tread out the sidewall...
Ended up driving another 10 Miles on the Run flat to get to a place to call help, tire went at about 65MPH, on a highway.
wasn't going to plug it or patch it anyway. wasn't my punch, and there is a second one it appears stuck in the tread I can't pull it out though.

Would appear so, not my punch either... on the way to work at 65MPH or thereabouts, pulled over got out to look and saw the shiny shank of that punch sticking out the sidewall... rolled forward a bit to get it higher, I thought initially in the dark it was some sort of wire like a pegboard hook or some such then after I rolled forward and got under noticed the hex shank and took a picture. grabbed my trusty channeloks and pulled it out after a brief struggle... got in the truck and drove about 10mi to a place I could get far off the road and then called for extraction. while sitting there I looked some more and found what appears to be the end of a smaller punch in a tread block near the inboard edge of the tread... it is still mostly inside the tire and I cannot get a grip to pull it free. Ill try more after I get the newer tire to install. NEW tires is on the list but not right now.

Reality looks like $1800 in Tires and wheels in my future... possibly one more wheel and some balancing...
.
If you haven't already, check out Feltz tires... I got 4 load rated E, 24 bolt pattern with a DOT of 2018 for $1,055 delivered to South Dakota. Very happy with them, they are military balanced, between 12 and20 ounces of weights on each, run really good without major vibrations...

Edit: I forgot to mention, they are installed on the rims including runflats, hold air great, not a single sign of material fatigue. Great to do business with them as well.
