ORD shackle flip on backorder?

So I was under the impression that ORD was a manufacturer. I ordered flip kits last Wednesday and was told this morning they're on backorder until Friday? Hard to believe they're back ordered on flat-stock. So who is making their stuff?

It is very likely they are doing their own in house build of their parts (though they might outsource the laser cutting). I have found over the years that many companies that actual weld their parts together, do production runs of a part. If they happened to have had a higher than normal run on parts, they could be out until they can get another production run going. It sounds like they doing that and hope to have them ready by Friday.

Almost no company builds parts on demand, it is not cost effective.
