The paint on my LMTV looks great after a rain. It seems to make the faded colors come back. Has anyone ever clear coated over the original paint instead of painting.

You'll likely be very shiny if you try that. I haven't seen a flat clear coat before (not to say it's not out there just haven't seen one).

Look at the HMMWV forums, there's the same discussion happening there. The paint is (...should) the same for the vehicles, so if it works on a HMMWV, it'll work on the FMTVs
