Paint thinner to cut WMO?

Hey has anyone here ever used paint thinner to cut WMO/WVO? My wife does estimates for a body shop and said they have to pay to get the old paint thinner picked up and they said I could have it if it worked. It's real thin and flammable, I was thinking about using it as a gas substute, being I'm running 80% WMO and 20% gas. And just running it thru my filter station cold. Do ya'll think it would work or cause other issues?

Thanks guys, I'm rethinking the whole thinning with paint thinner. The potenial damage looks higher than the savings at this point.
