I have an 816 with a nhc 250 and want to do a re-power with a big cam 400. Now I know the typical will not have enough hood clearence etc. but my question is are the blocks close enough in design to use the oil pan and pickup off of the 250 for clearance, the engine mounts, the intake off of a 250 and make it air to air intercooled instead of air to water to fix the hood problem? or if the intake is a problem cut down the sock one and put a 90* elbow facing towards the front of the engine for the intercooler?
thanks in advance for any information and advice.
