So, I know this is pretty much a last minute request, I kinda lost track of time and didn't realize how close the 4th is. We started sheep farming (an M923 makes an excellent sheep hauler, who knew?), and have been really distracted with that.

Anyway, I don't have facebook/social media... Can someone who does post up the info for this year's Summerfest in Centralia? We usually attend with our truck, but since we don't have facebook and everything appears to have been moved there, I can't find any information on it.

This is what Peter posted on FB:
Don't miss the Centralia Summerfest parade on 4 JULY. Lunch at my house around 1200, BS, and then off for parade lineup. Let me know if you can make it for lunch for food planning purposes. There will be no display in the park this year, due to a new crew taking over the event. Why would you want military displays on the 4th of July? After the parade we will go do a drive through of Stillwater estates, a local retirement community.

Ah ha! Thank you so much! we'll plan for that, then. Awesome. Sad to hear about the park, that's unfortunate. But at least we're still doing something together as a group.

Hello PNW, Coug & Srodocker etc who is still here from the 2013 Chehalis rallies.
I was the FireDeuce bringing up the rear of the convoy. I have been out of the world for a bit but now I'm back over here in E. WA in Stevens county where I own the family land. New base of op's for me. Still have my 54' REO and now a 1946 WC. P.S. I don't do FB.

Yup, Winlock the 3rd weekend of July, so July 14-18 (Thursday through Monday for anyone that wants to be there that long)

Site owner is trying to get an idea of how many people will be there, and not sure how much he watches this thread (though he's over in the HMMWV forum a lot)

From the facecrook page, with the address removed (message me and I'll send it to anyone that needs it)

This is year 13 for our 14th Rally.
The third weekend in July will be our next gathering.
Everyone is welcome from Thursday July 14th to Monday July 18th. Anyone wanting a longer vacation, please contact me ahead of time.
This year will be at the same location.
(ADDRESS REMOVED)
The parade/convoy will be on Saturday the 16th. Parade starts around 11 am, but we line up around 9:30 am for our larger group. There is NO truck show this weekend. So we will not be doing that this time.
I am open to ideas on a different convoy, or a convoy instead of the Parade.
Also, we have been missing out on people bringing stuff to swap, sell, buy, etc.
This always seemed to be a good place to bring stuff to sell off, or find the parts you have been missing.
I will have the MKT up and running for this year as well.
I will have a sani-can like last year.
I will have a couple insulated coolers like last time for food. There will be ice in the coolers, but you are welcome to add to it. Might have the refrigerator in the field again this year.
Bring your own food and plenty of water!
Please RSVP so I know what kind of accommodations to make for space to camp, etc.
Number of vehicles, number of people, etc.
So, like last year.
This will be an open field event.
We will have portable toilets available, and plenty of field space. Come early for your choice of parking. If you haven't been here before, please come in the larger driveway to the north of the house. Then wind your way into the back pasture.
Sounds like fun I haven't been out there for many years but have enjoyed it in the past I would be in a Humvee this time and not the deuce as I had to let that go :-(

Stevens County; what's your operation out there, REO54; is that orchard land?

Good morning Ahab.
No it's mostly rural/farm/forest. I have 20 acres of pine & Doug fir with about two acres of pasture and a creek running through it. I'm off of HWY 395 to the east butting up a wildlife refuge, about 10 Miles south of Colville WA. I have a 30×32 shop with an unfinished Apt above. Main "house" is a 1974 double wide. Living the dream.....

Hey Hammer. May all be well in your world. Shout out to Elkhunter in the Great Hunting grounds of beyond.
Oddly enough, if you didn't see the ocean while on Lopez, it looked pretty much like here. Has the same annual amount of rainfall, being in the rain shadow of the Olympics.

FYI.
I will not be hosting the Chehalis Rally in July this year. It has been a number of good years spent hosting this event.
Aaron Wildenberg put in a ton of work to get it started and keep it going. Biggest kudos to you man!
Thanks for all those that have shown up over the last 14 years.

If someone else wants to host this, I know it's late, but now would be the time to post up and get something organized in time.

Hope the Rally finds a benefactor!

But understood of course the energy and effort needed to make these things happen. It's WORK!!

I posted this on our FB group, so will put it here also

If everyone doesn't mind moving it forward by one week, I have the space to do it the weekend of the 13/14th here in McCleary. We would also be in the McCleary Bear Festival parade, which is a little smaller than the Napavine one, but not bad. I could probably also arrange for parking after the parade at the local VFW parking lot.

Other than that could also do a small cruise through Capitol Forest.

We are pet friendly, but as long as they are well behaved, as there is livestock nearby

Still a work in progress figuring everything out, so I'll post more here if there is interest in it or if anything changes.
