Power steering issue

Hey guys I know this has been talked about time and time again but I haven't been able to find a solution so I'd figure I'd ask for advice

Recently I put in a d60 into my m1009 as well as crossover steering including the new gearbox. I bled it and it worked mostly fine for a handful of miles. Still some random hard spots while turning.
Last week I was off-road and lost all power steering at idle. Once I had it close to 2k rpm it acted normal. Figured there was air trapped somewhere so I bled it for a couple hours and saw no change.
I figured the pump must've got aerated and failed. Changed the pump, now I've been bleeding the steering and hydro boost for several hours, and see no bubbles in the reservoir

My best guess now is that I had a bad reman gearbox. I just don't know why it worked as normal for maybe 50 miles. Is there an easy way to test just the gearbox before I throw more parts at it? Thanks
