Group,

Zoning issues are somthing most people face (I had issues, for a while).
I have a WW II, F7F-3 sitting in my back yard (there are 14 F7F,s, accounted for, mine is #15).
I used to get grief from my city council, then I laid the verticle stab on its side so it did not stick up over my fence.

I currently have 13 warbird projects to rebuild.
I am also rebuilding several HUMVEE projects.
At least I have my Deuce to drive around in, while I complete other projects.

Grumman Iron Works sure made some cool cat's, I fly over the old Calverton facility on long Island (NY) all the time. Too bad we are on oppisite coasts, I'd love to help with an old restoration project for the fun of it.
I fly now, but turned wrenches for many years as an A&P.

Amazing collection. He was brilliantly "sick" if that is an acceptable term, and meaning good in every way. He knew the value of those aircraft would only go up as more were recycled. They remind us of what our freedom costs and why it is so important to defend it. I live close to the Lone Star Museum and get to see and hear the warbirds on a regular basis. My son's graduation pictures were taken there beside their Corsair. When I saw that F2G he has (the Super Corsair), I almost had a "leanup on aile 3"..
You just don't see them every day.
I too am thankful they were saved.
