PTO Oil line

So yes, I looked in the TM first.

I'm putting a PTO on a M923 Allison MT654. The oil line for the PTO...

From the TM, there should be an elbow w/ a tap in it at the return port to the transmission. Mine of course doesn't have the tap, but is a normal 90 degree elbow. I can go get a new elbow, but before I do, does anyone know the thread size for that line? I'd like to avoid pulling the line apart until I'm ready to finish the work.

Also, what's the petcock next to the return line for?
