I did do quite a bit of searching and thought I would ask here since I may have over looked the obvious.

Is there a Roof Rack specifically designed to fit a Helmet Top?
Or should I just whip out the old tape measure and look for a Roof Rack that will dimensional fit the helmet top real estate? No doubt that will be be Chinesium :recovry4x4:

I thought I would post this in case this might help someone else.

The McClarin Composites is made of unobtainium as suspected. I found some others that are available for the Hummer H1 but are all many thousands of $ aua

After whipping out the tape measure, I found that I could house a 100 inch long one, with up to 75 inches wide. But these are not easily available for trucks, SUV and such.

Then I stumbled upon RhinoRack and they have what is called the Pioneer System that went that large. I found they have a clearance page and I found one rack that was 100 inches by 65 inches. They also had a promo code for another 25% off. So for a few hundred $, I got this. They are a bit of a PITA to deal with and it took them a month to ship something they had in stock in Colorado, Their warehouse guys are not the sharpest tools in the shed and parts of my order got separated and sat on the loading dock for weeks before it was shipped Fedex.

There are no standard mounts that I could find, so I made my own system.

I used 3/8" SS bolts that were 2.5" long, with a set of fender washers and those fit into the slots for standard mounts. I then used 1 inch aluminum spacers to lift the rack up a bit off the Helmet Top. I used four sets of this hardware in the front and another 4 in the back.

As you can see, it kind of extents over the slopped part of the Helmet top. So I used one of the cross supports that was a little further back from the front.

I have to get some Eyebolts for this setup. The ones from RhinoRack are ridiculously expensive. And I'll get an assortment of some long bungee cords for light stuff. I have some really nice ratchet straps to use already.

Hope this is helpful to others that are looking for something for their Helmet Top and don't want to spend many thousands!

Good looking rack & set up. Here is my home brew version made from aluminum unistrut, aluminum channel, and stainless hardware.. The front part is a 150
watt PV panel. Total cost was way lower than the McClarin rack.
