Gentlemen,
i've stumbled over a helpfull thing.....you can't solder stainless steel with tin...but in my case it was a real advantage!
To ma ke a long story short, i need a bead on a small brass pipe (plumbing) to secure a hose with a clamp. I formed a small ring out of a welding rod for stainless steel, slip it over the pipe, hold it with a plier and trial to solder it with tin and a flame.
Very soon i noticed: That doesn't work. The rod and the tin doesn't compound.
But the tin makes a really nice bead!

Cool it down, remove the ring (it was still loose) and : Voila! Ready.

Maybe helpful for somebody

What is that hose for? Is that end supposed to be a metric bubble flare?
