spacers on MEP 002a & 003a

Around the frame that the electric panels and fuel pumps bolt to, there are square, angled..spacers that go on the underside. What purpose do these serve and are they necessarry?

Those beveled washers have a name, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is right now. Anywho, they are designed to make up for the angle of the channel on the frame of the generator. They are used when bolting anything to a piece of "C" channel steel because the sides of the "C" are not flat, but rather angled.

Grainger carries them, at least as I understand what you are looking for. Only downside is that Grainger doesn't sell to anyone who doesn't have an account with them.
