Strange Alcohol Evaporator

Here are some pics of my "what I think is an late model" Alcohol Evaporator.. Someone explain to me how this works.... Does it draw in alcohol from a vaccum created at the air compessor???? The tube connects to the Air Compressor as seen in the picture. I cant find any mention/pictures of this style bottle in the TM.

Your thoughts?

Mark, it draws alcohol (methanol) vapor from the bottle, which mixes with any water in the system, which in turn prevents ice from forming.
Similar to the deuce or xm757 systems I have.

The alcohol consumption is about 1 pint/1,000 miles in my experience.
