Stupid question on spraque t case

My question is what is the differance between air shift and spraque t cases is one accutaed by air and one with a lever looking to buy motoranuts truck it has a spraque t case ive heard bad things about them. Thanks Kenneth

Sprag is actually an overunning clutch. When the rear tires spin faster than the front tires the sprag engages and provides power to the front axle.

There is more than just the difference in how they are actuated: See attachments, from the book... TM-9-2520-246-34

Only the air shift TC gives you a positive locking with equal speed to front and rear driveshafts.
