I did a search and couldnt find it..So I got stuck in a rainstorm the other day, noticed water pouring in from my tailgate window....I had assumed, because it's crusty and old, a new seal would be a start..Just went to order one from brothers...$59.95for the "rear glass to top seal"..NO problem I say...Checkout proceeds...Another $64.99 to ship it, for a total of $125...Is this some abnormal sized seal? What am I missing here?

There are SEVERAL pieces to the rear seal kit

It's NOT one piece. I can't remember right now, but six or seven pieces seems to be the number that comes mind.

DO NOT replace one or two pieces, because you WILL end up replacing them all in the long run if they are shot.

my bad - LMC Trucks shows nine pieces overall for a rear window seal replacement - http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/csb/full.aspx?Page=16

and you really do WANT to replace all of it. If you don't it will still leak and you will eventually be right back to where you started. ask me why I know this...

The Burb and the Blazer HAVE the same rear window set up...

Take a CLOSE LOOK at your rear tailgate. How is the rubber at each corner? And if you did NOT order any of the OTHER pieces you will be ordering it sooner, rather than later.

Maybe this will help a little - a break down of the rear tailgate from LMC

you need the seals that are on the 'top' of the tailgate to keep water OUT of the tailgate and you need the seal you purchased to keep water out of the truck - so it's NOT the wrong purchase, you will probably find that the rest of the seals are shot as well.

I'm the odd person who decides that if one seal in a window is bad, chances are the rest of them are bad. I have replaced the seals in both Burbs and Blazers and it is NOT money wasted... You will be happy with the results once the seals are in properly. Note the last word - properly - took me a while to figure that part out - but I'm old and slow, so...

Fyi blazer and suburbans use different tailgates! The rubber seals might interchange though!!

The upper window seal from LMC is a pretty good fit. I have read in other threads here that GM still makes the inner and outer window seals. I have the LMC seals and had to trim the outer so it wouldn't ride up with the window all the way up.

$64.99 for next day shipping sounds about right.

$64.99 for standard shipping is a major overcharge.

$59.99 for the top seal seams to be the going rate.
