Images show how the HIAB crane was found mounted on the Navy International Loadstar back in 1993. Paid $3,900 for it then.
A closeup of the tag on the Loadstar dash and the crane used to remove the tank from the M49A2C.
Paid $3,300 for the M49A2c in 1995, sold the tank for $1,000. Sold the Loadstar for $900 a few years later.
The tanker truck is perfect for a hydraulic crane with its transfer PTO standard.

Thats great Crane. I'll bet the military could have used a setup like that before the Oshkosh stuff came out.

It's all military. Here is the tag on the crane pedestal. Only the bed was homemade until the M756 pipeline truck bed was installed last year.

what was the crane install like? I was thinking about how useful a crane would be, and they are not too expensive, from what I see. Can you post details about it?
