this has been covered up since i pulled it apart, damn was i suprised to see this surface rust color on my tanny, should i be worried or as long as the stuff is greased up it should be okay, right.

My guess is, its fine... maybe hit it with a wire brush real quick?

Yep sure did, never thought that would have sweated.... as the old saying is you learn by mistake, i have a way of getting it oiled back up so thank goodness that is not massive rust.
