Vin location on frame of an m818

I am going to try to register and title my m818 and am going to try to save myself ALOT of time and frustration by being able to show the dmv the 2nd vin location for my out of state title registration. Can someone please help. Thanks

On mine it was directly under the hand hold that is on the left side of your second picture, over the spring snubber.

You are going to have to get the paint off. Mine only had one coat and it was hard to read.

You guys were right. Thanks sooo much. It looks like the final 5 numbers of the serial number are on there is that normal?

Still looks like there is a lot of paint. Maybe the rest of the numbers are there too?
Maybe some paint remover and then hit it with some primer so it doesn't rust.

OR maybe you leave it alone so the DMV inspector can find the rest of the serial - or be satisfied with what you found.

Keep looking, Bo, the stamper guy at AM General, was known to drink a lot and on Mondays he couldn't hit the hammer very hard.
Yes some of these numbers I think were put on with a sharp pencil! Anyway. I found the number it starts with a C but that leaves out the first set of numbers. But I thought I read somewhere on here that the actual vin doest start till the c does that make any sense?
